A Magical Mix of Techniques

More about Dr. Chu

Born in San Jose, California two weeks shy of her due date after her mom was involved in a car accident, Nancy came out of the womb a tenacious fighter ready to shake up the bay. Mark Twain said, “the two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.”

Growing up with immigrant parents, hard work was engrained in Nancy’s core. She started shadowing different jobs in junior high to find her true passion. After years of volunteering, interning, and working with physical therapists, she was called to the rehabilitative field. Her first mentor steered her into the chiropractic field knowing how powerful the combination of joint mobility, soft tissue work, and therapeutic exercises are to proper biomechanics and a speedy recovery. Nancy has since made it her mission to master all these healing techniques and then some.

Her style is original. Some would say even magical – a mix of evidence-based techniques and intuitive healing that is tailor-made to each person. Thanks to various seminars and mentors, she is well-trained in chiropractic manipulative therapies, soft tissue mobilization, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), Applied Kinesiology (AK), craniosacral technique, taping, cupping, therapeutic exercises, and still is learning! Nancy’s endless desire for knowledge and healing solutions makes her a one-stop shop for her patients.

Standing 5’3,” Nancy is proud to be the first chiropractor who has worked with Stanford University’s track and field team. She is currently the only chiropractor working with student-athletes at the Cardinal’s facilities.

To her colleagues, family, and friends – she is the self-proclaimed “social chair” and “happy hour queen.”  Her patients know her as a “witchy ninja”. No matter who the person is, one thing is clear – best believe Dr. Chu was made to be a healer.
